Omaha formerly of Fremont. Sam was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. Retired from AT&T and most recently employed at the Omaha Country Club. Sam served as a high school sports official in Nebraska for over 30 years. Preceded in death by son Robert "Bob" Baker, mother Irene Finnegan and sister Roberta Klapwyck. Survived by daughter Julie (Dan) Lorraine of Omaha, son David Baker of Elkhorn, daughter-in-law Terri Baker of Lincoln, grandchildren Randi (Nathaniel) Zabel, Andrew, Aaron and Adam (Lindsay) Lorraine, Cameron and Caleb Baker and great grandchildren Lathan and Rylee Zabel.

Services: Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Interment: Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park

Memorials: Suggested to American Cancer Society or The V Foundation.
